And God Said!
When we open the Bible we read:
Gen 1:1 ¶ In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
3 ¶ And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
Some say that the universe, that is all matter, was created out of nothing, but truthfully, every material thing in the universe was created out of something: a different realm, and higher form of matter, the spiritual realm!
See in V 2?
And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
One version says, the Spirit of God hovered over the waters. Seems Holy Spirit is still in the creation business, and He is still listening, wanting to create, and recreate the earth. He is Almighty God, so what is stopping Him?
The Word of God, spoken into the earth in faith, in each generation!
Throughout this chapter, we see the pattern of creation: God the Father communicated the plan to Jesus, and Jesus spoke!
When He spoke, the Holy Spirit, who knew exactly what Jesus wanted, created exactly what Jesus spoke.
Ge 1:3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
Ge 1:6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.
Ge 1:9 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.
Ge 1:11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.
Ge 1:14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:
Ge 1:20 And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.
Ge 1:24 And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.
Ge 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
Ge 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
Ge 1:29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
This is the method God still uses. God speaks, and Holy Spirit creates, enforces, and sets in place, exactly what God says.
Heb 11:3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
Now, God has given you authority, and His Word, expecting you to frame your world, with your words!
Job 22:28 Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.
And so there is a divine partnership happening in your life. If you have walked with Jesus for awhile, you discover that Joh 3:27 A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.
Yet, much has already been given, and as the years progress, and our authority and responsibility levels grow, my prayer is that I ONLY do the will of the Father, because my zeal, giftings, and faith, can sometimes create things that are good, but that God didn’t order, and instead of them being a blessing, they quickly become a burden, as the responsibility to maintain what we have birthed becomes overwhelming.
Yet, the process is sure, it is a walk of intimacy and faith. We seek Him, He speaks, then we enter into the process of faith:
2Pe 1:3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
2Pe 1:4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
The precious promises, the bridge between heaven’s resource, and earth!
Once we know the specific will of God for our life, we add it to our daily prayer list, and begin to confess the promises, that apply to the provision of what God has said.
Day by day, Holy Spirit manifests the provisions for these promises, and life gets very exciting, in a hurry. In the beginning, it might seem like nothing is happening, but after a while, seems we end up running hard to keep up with the dream that God has placed in our heart. Here is wisdom: If the things on your To Do list, are impossible, because your gift and faith has generated more than your physical ability to manage can accomplish, it’s back to the prayer closet!
Wisdom is the principal thing, and Jesus promised that His yoke is easy and His burden is light. If your daily responsibilities are overwhelming (like mine appear right now), it’s back to the prayer closet, to discover how to accomplish, that which I believe I am supposed to do.
Well, let’s pray:
‘Father, make clear what you want me to do this year. Everything in my life, that is wasting my time, please remove it. Teach me what promises I need to be confessing each day, and then as you manifest the provisions of these promises, help me to walk out what you have ordered. Keep a tight rein on me Holy Spirit, and help me to not run ahead of you, or move in merely my own strength, but to lean hard upon you, for growth in every area of life. In your name I pray Lord Jesus, Amen.
