Birth Pangs
Isaiah 66:8
Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.
In Jan 2013, AOMMinistries was formally registered, and we became full time missionaries. That year, Holy Spirit had me spend almost all of my days, in the Word, and praying in tongues. Often deep, deep searchings of heart, motive, and intense intercession for native Americans.
And then God moved, and wonderful things occurred publically.
Yet, it was birth pangs for something greater.
Birth, can be a traumatic, messy, bloody, painful thing, yet it brings forth life!
So, I find myself in that place again, the place of deep day and night prayer, as I go about my daily routine, with again that terrific trickle of tongues flowing through me…
Yes, we have faced difficult circumstances this year as a family, but we have not been beheaded, imprisoned, beaten, or shipwrecked, all of which are in the bounds of Scripture.
We have been impoverished, misunderstood, shunned, lied about, maligned, and spoken evil about.
You can’t be a people pleaser in this, His call and assignments are what are important, and while we love all people, we obey only Him…
Yet, we are not called alone. I cannot begin to express my thanksgiving to all the people who have made AOMMinistries possible. The help with research as I have written the books, the bags of groceries delivered, when we were honestly really hungry, the people who open their homes to us, help fix electronics, our jeep, our home (when we had one), I cannot thank enough. Sacrificial servants that have made the impossible, possible, and who, in simply giving my kids clothes or a pair of shoes, have made the journey bearable. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!
You are some of the people we love. Praying for you daily, posting quips, quotes, and pics of our travels, and insights the Lord gives us from His Word, designed to encourage you too, to walk with Him, in whatever season and vocation He has for you.
Whatever you do today, may He be Your Lord, and director of Your steps.
Let’s Pray:
‘Father, the cost is never greater than the call, and where You lead, You provide, You bless, and You make a way. We thank You for Your grace, revelation, direction, clarity, discipline, and love towards us today, as we follow You Lord Jesus, Amen’
