Ps 19:9 The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.
10 More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
11 Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.
People make choices in life, that have brutal consequences. All I know to do, after praying fervently, is to love them, and let the chips fall where they may. There are always consequences to clear violations of the Word of God…
I heard a minister say: ‘Every person in life is either and encouragement, or an illustration of what not do. We can learn from all people, as long as we gauge our lives by the Scripture.’
If we are alert, we can see these consequences in the lives of others, and avoid the pain similar decisions would cause us…
In the meantime, we are called to love people, and trust Jesus to do miracles. He delights to forgive, show mercy, and restore broken people and lives.
Let’s Pray:
‘Father, open our eyes to the consequences of our decisions. Help us to see clearly, in the lives of others, Your Word working, either in deliverance, or in judgement upon their sin. Cause us to desire, pursue, and walk in purity and holiness, and to run from evil. For those around us, who are clearly in violation of your Word, help us to be the answer, not the critic in their lives. Give us authentic love for them, and help us to be quick to restore them, after then have repented. I ask this, knowing I am heard, for I ask in Your name Lord Jesus, AMEN’
