Standing Rock Update

And so the story continues – many saw as over 2000 veterans arrived in Standing Rock over the weekend, to join in prayer, and to act as human shields to protect the native water protectors from further police brutality.

So, at 5PM Sunday, elders were told that the Army Corp of Engineers had contacted them and formally stated they would not grand DAPL easement to cross the Missouri river. That the people could now go home, that it was over.

Yet, it is not over! DAPL today moved equipment into place to begin tunnelling under the river, in direct violation of the stop work order of the Army!

Veterans are still there, in the snow, silently, prayerfully, peacefully, standing against the pipeline in a blizzard.
