The Blessing of Abraham produces prosperity
Gen 13: 1 ¶ And Abram went up out of Egypt, he, and his wife, and all that he had, and Lot with him, into the south.
2 And Abram was very rich in cattle, in silver, and in gold.
5 ¶ And Lot also, which went with Abram, had flocks, and herds, and tents.
6 And the land was not able to bear them, that they might dwell together: for their substance was great, so that they could not dwell together.
Gal 3:7 Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.
13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
Wealth is nothing more or less than a tool to do things with. It is like the fuel that runs the furnace or the belt that runs the wheel — only a means to an end.
HENRY FORD, Theosophist Magazine, Feb. 1930
I agree with Henry Ford partially, but the end must be Jesus, and money must serve Him.
When we bow before Him, and place our full life in His hand, then money can flow through us freely and safely, for we hold a far greater treasure within our hearts, eternal life!
Listen to the philosophy of Herbert Hoover:
My conception of America is a land where men and women may walk in ordered freedom in the independent conduct of their occupations; where they may enjoy the advantages of wealth, not concentrated in the hands of the few but spread through the lives of all; where they build and safeguard their homes, and give to their children the fullest advantages and opportunities of American life; where every man shall be respected in the faith that his conscience and his heart direct him to follow; where a contented and happy people, secure in their liberties, free from poverty and fear, shall have the leisure and impulse to seek a fuller life.
HERBERT HOOVER, speech, Oct. 22, 1928
Not bad Herbert, but our ultimate goal in life must be to discover the will of God for each of our lives, specifically, then pursue it with all of our heart, mind, soul, and strength, living the life, we were born to live!
Mt 13:44 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.
He is rich or poor according to what he is, not according to what he has.
HENRY WARD BEECHER, Proverbs from Plymouth Pulpit
This is true, our walk with God must be our ultimate value and treasure, Mt 6:21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
God gives us power to obtain wealth. Wealth though, can become it’s own taskmaster, if we do not use it to produce freedom in the earth.
