The Blessing of Ismael
Gen 17: 20 And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation.
21 But my covenant will I establish with Isaac, which Sarah shall bear unto thee at this set time in the next year.
Ever wonder while all the Arabian nations appear so rich in oil?
Arab shieks, so foreign to our culture, that control wealth beyond many of our wildest dreams?
Ever wonder where God is in all of this?
Here is your answer: These are the descendants of Ismael, son of Abraham, blessed of God.
Yet, the covenant is with Isaac, and Ismael and Isaac have been in strife ever since the beginning….
Though Isaac came the Jewish people, through Isaac, come the Arab nations, and there has been hatred throughout the generations.
Yet, today, there is a real opportunity for it all to end.
When one comes to God through Jesus, there can be peace, only under the rule of the Prince of Peace Eph 2:14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;
Eph 2:15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;
The Jews receive their Messiah, the Arabs receive back the covenant they believe was stolen from them by Isaac, which should have belonged to Ismael, the first born.
Jesus makes it all right, He and He alone can bring peace to a human heart, bringing love out of hatred.
There is no other way…
Joh 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
1Ti 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
Like the Bumpeer Sticker: Know Jesus, Know Peace! No Jesus, No Peace!
He brings peace to the troubled heart, as the author says: Our hearts are restless, until they find rest in thee’.
Peace only begins in the heart.
God did not come to earth, to make bad people good, nor good people better.
He came to make dead people, ALIVE!
Jesus died upon the cross, that you and I might live in Him.
He rose from the dead, that we might change also, from death into life, in Him.
He is alive, and He Reigns, that we might live, and rule and reign through Him.
There is only one question: Will you have this man as your king?
John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
When we receive Him, our hearts change, from darkness to light, from death to life, from sin to right standing with him, from orphan to fully adopted child, from slave to free, from oppressed to royalty, from pauper to children of the Most High God.
Receive Him today!
‘Let’s Pray:
Father, I come to you now, and I receive your free gift, Jesus! Jesus, come into my heart, bring peace out of turmoil, life, light, love, power, where there has been darkness. I receive you as my King and Lord, and receive your peace, adoption, grace, covenant, and blessing, now, in your mighty name Lord Jesus I pray, Amen’
